About
Having graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Printed Textiles and Surface Pattern Design from Leeds College of Art in 2008, I now work as an illustrator and surface pattern designer based in and between Birmingham and Manchester, England.
I have exhibited at a range of shows since, most notibly the ‘New Designers’ exhibition at the Business Design Centre in London, where I was awarded the ‘New Designer of the Year 2008′ award, out of thousands of other graduates. I was also selected by The Crafts Council to represent the UK at ‘Talente 2009′, a specialist exhibition event that takes place in Munich, Germany, each year as part of the International Trade Fair for the Skilled Trades.
Now working as a freelance illustrator and designer, I have recently worked with various companies on a number of illustrative commissions. I have also worked as a visiting lecturer and provided workshops in high schools.
With interior design/decoration being a big passion of mine, I have also released my own range of wallpapers. My award winning ’Peonies, Lilies and Other Pretties’ collection was launched in Summer 2009, and is available to purchase through my online shop as well as Liberty of London and various other stockists around the world.
Being passionate about and focused on hand-drawn line, I have a vast portfolio of intricate botancial drawings, as well as expanding into other non-botanical subject matter. Have a browse through my gallery, subscribe to recieve newsletters or leave comments on the blog.
